Howard and Today's Game

    To me the most significant and worrying thing about the Howard move is the hatchet job done on him on the front page of this week's Barnsley Football Weekly. It can now be seen as a blatant attempt to justify a move that the club must think will be more badly received that I think it actually will. In terms of news management it is almost reminiscent of some sort of totalitarian regime.

    As for today I thought we did OK-ish. Excellent keeper, solid back four and a classy midfield. We wouldn't have scored if we'd played for a month though. Davey's lack of judgement and sheer obstinacy when it comes to strikers will either cost him his job, our place in the Championship, or both.
