Howard Bid Rejected

We have rejected a bid for Howard, no details of the clubs involved or the amounts. Hopefully a higher bid won't come in otherwise the club could accept. The club were hoping for a press conference at 9.30am, l hope its not to announce that we have accepted the bid. Hopefully if there is a conference its to say we have completed the signing of JCR (which they are hoping to do).

 

well I hve never known them have a press conference to say a player has GONE.

only when one ARRIVE, normally. But they could announce a new arrival AND any departures I guess.

 

I know everyone on here seems to think we won't sell him but i reckon he will be gone today. A good way for the club to recoup the transfer funds spent this year, not that i think they should sell just got a feeling he will be on his way. My bet is Southampton or W.B.A

They have a media call already today regarding the WBA game and they were hoping to have another about possible signings but l believe they would have to answer questions at that one if Howard was to leave.

hes got two years left on his contract, his value can only increase over the season and therefore there would be no point in selling him now - what good would be cash in a bank account.

Unless he's got a release clause....which isn't unfeasible.
