We have rejected a bid for Howard, no details of the clubs involved or the amounts. Hopefully a higher bid won't come in otherwise the club could accept. The club were hoping for a press conference at 9.30am, l hope its not to announce that we have accepted the bid. Hopefully if there is a conference its to say we have completed the signing of JCR (which they are hoping to do).
well I hve never known them have a press conference to say a player has GONE. only when one ARRIVE, normally. But they could announce a new arrival AND any departures I guess.
I know everyone on here seems to think we won't sell him but i reckon he will be gone today. A good way for the club to recoup the transfer funds spent this year, not that i think they should sell just got a feeling he will be on his way. My bet is Southampton or W.B.A
I thought it was just Simon Davey's weekly media call Donny Tyke?
That is how I have read it from the main site.

Oh god, from 'not being worried' about Howard leaving, I am now seriously worried. The Board will accept a higher price won't they? Our best, most creative player may leave, it hardly bears thinking about.
They have a media call already today regarding the WBA game and they were hoping to have another about possible signings but l believe they would have to answer questions at that one if Howard was to leave.
shat. lets be right though - we're not in a position to sell. hes got two years left on his contract, his value can only increase over the season and therefore there would be no point in selling him now - what good would be cash in a bank account. Unless he's got a release clause....which isn't unfeasible.
I can't be arsed. I've got a yoghurt in the fridge that won't eat itself, although it's live yoghurt, so maybe it will? I'll keep you posted.
Live Yoghurt. Found on certain Sky TV channels after 10pm. The Munch Bunch (in thongs) sit there peeling their lids off slowly, whilst holding mobile phones. I've completely lost the plot.
We always have a "media call" the day before a match. Is this what you are talking about when you say press conference or have I missed something? From Official site: MEDIA CALL Posted on: Thu 30 Aug 2007 REDS manager Simon Davey will hold his pre-match press conference on Friday August 31 ahead of the game with West Bromwich Albion. Please note that the press conference will be held in the West Stand Media Suite at Oakwell at 9.30am. Press requests should be e-mailed to thereds@barnsleyfc.co.uk or phone 01226 211211.
Sorry Tina just finished reading all the thread. Hopefully now we are building a decent squad then we won't be letting anyone go today.
