£4000 a week for the next 12months is hardly limbo, I think he should keep quiet about it all, he's makeing himself sound like a spoilt brat.. imo..

He should talk over his issues with the club itself and not in the national press.

If he's worth a £10m transfer fee then he must surely be

worth more than &pound;4k a week, that's relative to the market and the wages of others. Fair enough comment by him. Seems the club are just as bad in trying to ramp up his price in the press and he's a bit miffed by it. He's not getting the interest from other clubs and he's not getting any talks with the club he's been promised. Agreed, &pound;4k a week is a lot of money, but it's only half as good as &pound;8k though!</p>

I agree he could probably get more than he is on at a bigger club, but he signed the contract with us, he should honour it. He should be focusing on the season ahead with Barnsley. He's the Captain and should lead by example.

    Like Paul Reid did before?

Some good it did him! I agree with you by the way.

Point is, Cryne has been bigging him up and promising to talk

about a new deal doubling his wages in the press. Doesn't seem like that is actually what is happening. Fair enough, he could play out the season and then walk, get a nice signing on bonus and double his wages and we get nothing. Somehow I don't think that is what the club really want.

As far as I understand he's away on holiday at the moment, so is Davey. I'm sure that promises will have been made one way or the other. Leyt's wait and see what happens in June. That's when it'll get exciting. Davey will want his targets in place for pre-season.

We cant sell him for a "realistic price"...

if there's been no bids for him!
