I did put it in quotation marks when I mentioned it late last night. I'm not buying in to that idea. Never known a player be referred to as trying too hard when he misplaces passes and all his goals come from the penalty spot.
i know mate i wasn't referring to yourself - its just a comment that seems to keep cropping up on here at the moment.
I've always been a big admirer of Howard's ability and passion but ... <table id="HB_Mail_Container" style="height: 100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" width="100%" border="0"><tbody><tr style="width: 100%; height: 100%"><td id="HB_Focus_Element" style="width: 100%; height: 250px" valign="top">he's been distinctly off the boil for me in the last few home league games. Penalties aside, he is too often found ball-watching and instructing his team-mates, instead of actually been involved in the action. The number of times this season that I've seen a ball intended for him just pass him by, straight to the feet of an opposition player.</td></tr><tr><td style="font-size: 1pt; height: 1px"></td></tr></tbody></table>
thought he was better yesterday I agree in the last few home games he has been off the boil but yesterday he had a decent game, made the second goal as well. Also, yesterday I sat in the West lower and you can see how much passion he has and that he takes his responsibility as captain very seriously.
He Wouldn't Have........... missed that glorious chance he beltered over the bar at Scunny, before all the speculation.
could perhaps do with a couple of games out, always seems to come back strong when davey has rested/droped him, but we aint really got the cover in the middle to do that.
RE: thought he was better yesterday And shouts at other people, blaming them, when he plays a **** pass. Like when he passed the ball in the first half to Bobby Hassell, without looking, only to find Hassell wasn't there.
Or.......... when he had a go at JCR, when it was his **** ball to blame and not Jamal. He kinda stopped having a go when he heard what were probably dozens of fans in the east stand telling him he's to blame and should shut up.
