Are we debating this after 2 pre-season friendlies against non-league sides?

Both is my answer, by the way.

No just generally, I feel that If we want anything for Howard he needs to go now.
Overall I feel that Leon will create more goals than Howard over a season and expect to see the best from him after a full pre-season.

Can't believe people would choose Leon over him

It proved in the Hull game how Leon is just brushed aside if we play anyone with a half decent midfield. I know Howard isn't the best defensively, but he makes our midfield much more solid and isn't brushed off the ball nearly as easily.

    Disagree

If you play both in the middle we'll get mullered. If you play Leon on the left we're exposed defensively down that side.

IMO its one or the other, and I think Howard's better.

Leon! Howard is too selfish, looks for chances for himself at the expense of chances for others.

howard and anderson play great together in center mid.leon never got a chance to play in the middle with anderson, he was always stuck out on the wing. when leon did play in the middle he was lumbered with hassell who we all know is not the best in that position. i think leon could play to same standard as howard with anderson at the side of him. but overall ide rather have howard as he will score more goals than leon.

Howard has had 6 good months - not 3 awesome years.

I'd obviously choose Howard above Leon, you know what your going to get - hes a good player - but not the world beater people make him out to be.

I just think we are very fortunate to have 2 quality players who offer the team different things. If Howard goes we will miss his running with the ball and his shooting ability but with Leon in the side his superior ball control and passing ability will, I think, create more goals for the front 2. It would be good at times when things arent working, or if Howard is having a mare, if Davey would sub him for Leon but we all know that that is never going to happen. Leon out wide just doesnt work as he has no pace. Same with Howard really. If I am being realistic I think Brian should leave (as long as we get a couple of million) because i dont think his heart will be in it if he plays for us next year.

Leon for the simple fact he's 2 footed, Howards all left (even tho it's a beauty) and at times when the better option is a right footed pass he cant use it. imho

Leon cant use his left foot

Always pulled back onto his right yesterday.
If Leon is played every week in centre of midfield we will get tonked a lot of times next season. He is very easy to knock about .
