Done nothing but good for us since he signed. We cannot lose another asset for nothing like we did this summer with Mcphail. I hope the board don't faff around with him and give him a 2 year extension now so we have him under contract until 2009 summer.

We have a non-footballing board. If they had had any ambition at all, many of our players would have been given longer contracts. We might as well be run with KPMG.

If we threw new contracts to every player who played well for a few games we'd be properly in the **** again.

Contract's will obviously discussed at a later date - nothing up with that. The players and manager should be concentrating on keeping us up first and foremost.

But it's not just a few games he's played well for us in. He's played well the whole time he's played for us. And if he is still playing like this (which he will be) in December. Then he will get offers from bigger clubs to leave us for more money on a free next summer. We have to act now so not to lose him.

He's done well so far this season - but I didn't see people saying "chuck him a 3 year contract" in pre-season? or even last season?

I think some people are getting a bit in front of themselves here.
