Take Howard all day long. McPhail played really well yesterday but should have been sent off doesn't do much except pass the simple ball well. Howard tackles better is stronger in the air is far more dangerous going forward. You can tell the club actually means something to Howard unlike it ever did to McPhail. In my opinion we have never missed him and never will do while we have Bri at our fantastic football club!

    Unfair To Compare The Two

Two completely different players that bring different skills to the table.

No comparison for me. Howard can do everything well, McPhail can pass well, end of. Bri is even becoming a captain fantastic. McPhail was never one of my favourites (never looked like he wanted to be at the club), whereas Bri seems to be Barnsley through and through and is fast becoming a legend.

    "THERES ONLY ONE BRIAN HOWARD."

A very fair and legitimate comparison..

...of what BFC has got out of the pair of them.

Which would you rather have in our CM?

Yeah one passes sideways and is no threat.

    The other creates and scores.

Unfair to compare? Two different kind of players in that one creates, scores, tackles, passes almost as well as the other and cares about the club! The other one passes the ball really well without causing too many problems!

Howard And Mcphail Would Be A Awesome Pairing

Howard being attacking and getting in the right positions. Mcphail on the otherhand settling things down with his more defensive and experienced role.

    No they wouldn't

We were discussing this at the game yesterday, disappointed when he left but in hindsight McPhail wouldn't have been up for the battle last season, he's too lightweight so needs hard tackling midfielders around him, and McPhail and Howard's best role is too similar to play them in central midfield together.

How could McPhail have a more defensive role when he can't tackle?

One incident when, I think it was Mostto, got tackled by McPhail - my mate shouted "You got tackled by McPhail, how bad does that make you feel?!"

    They wouldn't and weren't

Howard is better when he has a player with him to do some of the donkey work and winning the ball back. McPhail can't tackle for ****. They played together only 18 months ago, how short is your memory?!

Well so long as we got a good fee for Brian who would deny him the chance if its a better move for himself.

Unlike McFrail who did **** all for the best part of 2 years
