Just remind me Brian, how does it go again?;

Anyone can see now that you didn't go for the money, you went for the quick route to the premier league.

Oh now doesn't the truth hurt Captin Marvel, ey? Obviously hit a nerve there!

penalty today?

if you watch it again, it was a clear cut penalty on howard, as was the forearm smash into the young full back in the second half. im impartial where sheff u are concerned, but howard was taken from behind. in the middle of the park , it would have been a clear free kick.

I agree entirely

Howard bashing is totally silly, he did a fantastic job for us and left, just like plenty of others have in the past and I dare say in the future too.
at least he has not slagged the town off, like a certain player did on live telly.

at least he has not slagged the town off..............

..............and he hasn't had a good word to say about us either........(blagger) Sheffield United this (blagger) Sheffield United that (blagger)

And thats after:

leaving us on the brink of relegation......which would have cost Pat Cryne £Millions in lost revenue
Leaving to one of our bitterest rivals when he had a choice to go elsewhere
Jumping on the McCabe gravey train
Upsetting the dressing room before he left
Talking up the prospect of JCR leaving

Brian Howard is ANTI-Barnsley Football Club
The sooner Barnsley fans realise that the better

Where else could he have gone?

Why shouldn't he go on about Sheff Utd - they pay his wages!

You're like a broken record.

He moved on to a bigger club, with more chance of playing in the Premiership, and got a better wage. It wasn't his fault we were on 'the brink of relegation', he's not the manager. Maybe he went to Sheff Utd because he's settled in the area.

Move on.

agree. did we slag mcarthy off when he moved onto to a bigger a more prosperous club? no. we ave to accept we will always be a feeder club.
look at wigan. they buy players for 1-2million, put them in the shop window, play them, and sell for 10-12million. its called business.
good luck to howard. i hope he gets premiership football. he wasnt going to get it with barnsley was he?

Yep playing alongside that midfield genius of Hassell must have made his mind up for him!

You mean player of the season?

Howard could not give two fecks for us last season. If you think otherwise you are deluding yourself.

He was clearly of the mind to **** off from the off. Hrdly any effort whatsofeckinever.

Playing alongside Hassell isn't a problem

Playing alongside Leon however...

I don't think Brian Howard was as bad at the start of this season as some people make out. He wasn't at the peak of his form, but he wasn't the worst Barnsley player either. He scored a goal and made an excellent pass for a Hume goal in the first few games. And it's not like he's been on fire for United. Players have good years and bad and this appears to be a poor season by Howard's high standards. Maybe the nights out are catching up with him and it's time to buckle down to some hard work? Not that I'm concerned by his form now, I'll just remember the good games he had for Barnsley. He was a good player, but now he's gone, end of.

He did a great job until the point where he felt "unwanted"

...and thenhe stopped trying.

We plucked him from obscurity, gave him a chance and made a valuable commodity of him. We tried to cash in and he got the face on, stopped performing but carried on drawing his salary. The worst kind of "professional" and a good example of what's gone wrong with football.

He's just a z-list brat who shat on thepeoplewho gave him his chance.

Brian was a good player for us. I was just reacting to the following article. I think I have a right to do so as he was obviously reacting to the fact that deep down he knows he went for the money. As soon as he turned up on the BBC in a suit during our cup run, I knew what was coming.

I don't particularly begrudge his move, just don't understand why the likes of Morgan and Howard find it acceptable to go to local rivals. At the same time, let's not forget the elbow on soccer AM.
