It's been doing the rounds today that his wage demands and what the club offered were miles apart. Personally, I hope this is the end of it. Brian was a great player for us in his pomp, he created memories that will last forever. But he's done absolutely nothing of note since. I would much rather we recruited the likes of Hourihane/Hemmings. Lads who could be for us now what Brian was for us in the past.
You're spot on Andy, he hasn't done bugger all since he left us to make excessive wage demands. If he doesn't want to join on our terms then we move on.
This is good news. We need to stop living in the past and start thinking of the future. The 3 lads signed up are exactly the sort of player we need to be looking at given our financial constraints due to dropping down a league. Lets hope we can make a swift return to the Championship, i'll not hold my breath, but i'm feeling a lot more optimistic with the sort of players we have bought in, and hopefully more to follow in the coming weeks.
I think the majority of the newcomers will be of a similar age to these three, mate, with the probability of another two or three more experienced players alongside them. There'll be a fresh look to the line up this coming season, of that I'm sure.
hmm. That sounds like he's after mega bucks. The reality Ive heard is that Eastleigh Town have offered him more than we have Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
