Take nothing away from two tremendous finishes, but the defending was absolutely schoolboy for both.

The first one should obviously have been cleared, and the amount of space given to Pederson was criminal (without even mentioning the fact that the ball in should probably have been cut out).

The reason why the I'm pointing this out is just because I can imagine the reaction that such defending would have got on here from us - "league 2 defence, etc". At the end of the day, at championship level, the defending is quite sloppy from time to time, and it will be punished more often than not. By our strikers as well as those playing against us.

Thought pedersen did well to make space for the second and his pull down was incredible - couldn't really blame the defenders

Just watched it again, and I agree that the pull down and turn were sublime, wrong footing the whole defence. Should the ball have ever found its way to him? Debatable. Should three defenders fail to close down the only opposition striker in the box? Had that been our defence this board would have been in meltdown!
