they also arrogantly think that they have a divine right to be promoted ahead of us, also the knives are out for Peter Jackson because of the draw with Donny who apparantly should have won yesterday.

Does anybody else think that they are all pricks, and i for one hope we stuff them come April 1st.

Come on reds and stuff them all!!!

Their attendance is generally higher than ours

purely as a result of their pricing policy for kids, imo.

I always used to argue with a bloke at work that it was easy to get gates 50% higher than ours if every adult season ticket purchased enables you to take two kids along free (that was certainly the deal he had at the time, and I don't think that that much has changed).

The idea that HTFC fans are knocking our gates and think they deserve promotion ahead of us doesn't piss me off as much as the Doncaster fan I heard on Radio Sheffield yesterday, who said that this was a disappointing season for them - "we are better than Swansea, better than Brentford, better than Southend, and certainly better than Barnsley" ergo it was a season of inexplicable underachievement. The league table doesn't lie, arsehole.

huddersfield look after the fans better then barnsley do. students get season tickets for under £100 and kids under a certain age can have a free season ticket. another reason they get bigger crowds is because they have alot of towns around huddersfield that dont have a pro team so the people that live there watch huddersfield (wakefield, brighouse etc).

    Wakefield...

    1). Its a city
2). Its nearer to both Barnsley and Leeds than Huddersfield.

    RE: Wakefield...

But it is in West Yorkshire and there's a lot of animosity between South & West Yorkshire.  Hence Wakey folk's tendency to support Udders rather than tarn.

Im from and live in West Yorkshire

I think youll find there are many more of us "dyed in the wool" reds fans from West Yorks as well.

When I first started watching the reds late 70s the bus we travelled on was always full by Hemsworth and didnt stop again untill reaching Oakwell.

But how many Donny fans were at Huddersfield compared to the small away crowd at Oakwell yesterday?

Is this the same Huddersfield that in 1999-2000 when they were top of the 1st division (now Championship) were struggling to break 10,000.
It was a disappointing crowd yesterday - but that's because the turnout from Swansea was very poor for a side doing well....the Ponty end was almost full.

It would be interesting to see what the Home support has been for each game this season if that's possible.

living in huddersfield and having half my family supporting them plus friends and workmates. i get the impression from what ive been told that the home following doesnt change much in any game they play. the crowd is simply higher depending on the ammount of away fans.

    Errr....

When you take away the several thousand Donny fans, there can't have have been much difference in the home crowd. How can you compare the attendance for a Yorkshire Derby with yesterday's low away turnout at Oakwell?

And there is some truth to that too.

    They do have more fans.

Notwithstanding the arguments about pricing policies and incentives that get more bums on seats, you can't deny that even if they made home games free for everyone for the rest of the season, we probably wouldn't average more than 12,000 for the remaining fixtures.

    And when you say 'they'...

Are you representing all Huddersfield fans?

    Do you know them all?

And Donny's highest attendence is greater than capacity too

How that work then - do people share seats?
