They've always had poor away support. In the play offs a few years ago, they only brought just above 3000 to us. We must have took nearly 5000 to them. When we played them at home in between Christmas and New Year the same season, they brought half that. We took around the same as we did in the play offs.
They were given 33,169 tickets for their Wembley day out v Blades and sold only 22,000 and returned the rest. For a club that averages 14/15k for their home games that's pretty poor. We sold our initial allocation of 33,000 for Wembley and then sold a further 800 albeit for a FA Cup semi but we took nearly 25,000 for the long trip to the Millenium stadium for the same play off final. Seems we have a bigger bandwagon.
Spoke to a town fan today and they are bitching about the £28 admission fee!!(Where've I heard this before??). they get good home support because of their Season ticket deals ie £100 for 10 games apparently
If we lose to those cnuts I'm going to hunt down 'the board' and whoever 'leaked' the takeover story and burn the *******.
Re: If we lose to those cnuts Couldn't you find a nastier team to hate than Huddersfield? They're harmless. It's like hating puppies.
Re: If we lose to those cnuts It's their fans. Not a good un amongst them. The finest night of my life when we did them in the play offs at their place - was stood near their hard men who like to knock women and young opposing fans about. I never had and never will have a smugger face than I did when Nards notched the 3rd. Loved it.
Which type of puppies? I hate dogs. All dogs. They **** everywhere. And bark a lot. Cats are much better behaved, more intelligent, cleaner, less maintenance and all round more pleasant animals. Thats just a FACT.
