For those who thought our original Early Bird was long enough, Huddersfield fans have another month until the first Friday of June to get their season ticket seat and at only £249......

    https://www.htafc.com/news/2024/may/202425-season-cards-now-on-sale/

The owner knows a section of fans aren't happy so he's been transparent with a couple of articles, whilst our own board are silent.....

Will we hear from the board about the season we've just had? Will they get around to responding to the "coming days" article they released when Neil went?

I think that's a pretty shitty attitude to have towards a fellow supporter pointing out that another local team has:

    1. Much more competitively priced season tickets.
    2. Given supporters a better opportunity to get one at those prices.
    3. Communicated clearly and early with supporters following a disappointing end to their season.

I get there's been a lot of criticism of the club on here this season, a lot of it over the top, but immediately shutting down anyone that dares to point out we could be doing things better is poor in my opinion. We all want the best for our club.

It's because the club toadies can't stand any criticism of their beloved club, whether direct or in direct..

On the pricing thing its a demand/ fanbase issue as with Bradford. They can sell them at that price as they have the fanbase / catchment area.

Says ours average £400 for 8k sales = £3.2m. We reduce to an average of £250 would need to sell another 5k tickets to get to same number. That wouldn't happen.

This exactly. Huddersfield and Bradford have the greater fanbase to make lower pricing work. If we made ours a similar price I still don't think we'd shift more than 10k and would actually bring in less income than we do now.
It hasn't done Bradford much good so far, they've been stuck in L2 since Adam was a lad.
Despite this season's increase ours are actually cheaper than most other L1 clubs I believe.

We've been touching 10k in the last few seasons.

They were rough numbers but it's even worse if that were the case. £4m income based on 10k @ £400 would require another 6k if we dropped it to £250. It's not financially viable and we wouldn't sell 16k season tickets ever.....

The ground isn't big enough to sell 16k home season tickets. With half of the West Stand unusable, and the North stand only available for visitors, capacity is about 14-15k for home fans.

Yeah I mean let's not get it wrong, Huddersfield have screwed up massively. You shouldn't be in League 1 so soon after two seasons in the top flight and the parachute money that comes after it. But the owner knows they have had a season of mistakes made at board level and has been quick to communicate to the fan base about it. I can't knock him for that and he's shown you can give ample time to fans to renew their own seat at a reasonable price, instead of rushing them in to making a decision.

I have been an advocate on here for years in pricing based off sales. So we have the first price which is the highest. But everyone gets a refund of a particular amount for each thousand sales from a certain amount. That way we encourage more to buy one knowing the more that do, the cheaper they are and the club still make the same amount on home gate receipts.

CRAZY IDEA but they could actually think of ideas to get people down to Oakwell for around 11 am for a 3 pm kick off, which from the increased gates at a cheaper price, leaves fans with more disposable income to spend at Oakwell. Matchday takings would improve greatly.

I’d like to see the club do this just to finally put the whole thing to bed. If it works, we sell out and have a great season on the pitch, it would be fantastic.

If they don’t sell enough we lose money.

if they sell and we have s crap season, it’s more people to moan.

They have no debts apparently. After owing £40 + m of debt a couple of yrs ago. And guess what. Now in the same league. And a healthy bank ballance. It's not as plain sailing as you appear to think. Mega bucks owner.

    • Nagle's exact financial worth is unknown, but he sold a stake in the Sacramento Kings for £6.7bn, indicating significant wealth. He has also shown ambition and financial commitment with plans for a new stadium and attempts to enter the MLS.

Interesting that Huddersfield seem to have same price for each area of the ground.
