Due to my Dad being a Blackpool fan, he took me to a few games at the back end of last season (including the Play-off Final) and Robbie was a key part in Blackpool's 10 game winning run that got them promotion. He scored goals at crucial times from set-pieces and in open play and has a great delivery on him. But, what impressed me most was they way he would pick the right pass 9 times out of 10. He has a good footballing brain and struck up a formidable partnership with Wes Hoolahan down the left hand-side. Him and Hoolahan used to do these very effective little passes when building attacks that allowed spaces to appear in other parts of the pitch as the opposition was concentrating on stopping the passes. I believe that Williams will be able to carry on this sort of form with Schofield as Danny is a clever player with good ball control like Hoolahan who can, when on best form, cut through the opposition's defence with ease. Lastly, just echoing a previous concern made about Ritchie saying in the Examiner that Williams will probably be the last signing. This is quite disapointing as i feel when desperately need cover up front (possibly in defence but the budget won't stretch that far) for Booth, Beckett and DC. Anyway lets end on a positive! Williams. A cracking signing! UP THE TOWN!

Wel
My mate who's a blackpool fan said Robbie was a brilliant signing for them. He also told me Tommy Wright was a fantastic player though.

Hells bells. There must be something in that sea air if it turned those two into good players. We need to get Mattis on loan there pronto.
I think a few of you are going to eat your words I believe Robbie will become a very good player. However i also believe that P Reid will not.
I too liked Williams I thought Paul Reid's commitment last season could not be faulted. but:
he did not appear good enough as a Championship Defender he was too slow he was caught out of position too easily on a regular basis. he had a magnificent game now and then and you think/hope he can move on , but ................... he did not lead his men on the pitch either with words or motivation or role model play he is always injured, very much like the much maligned -------------who played one game and was out for three! (bet you can't even remember his name !) Lol Reid is a great guy. He loves the Club, is great with the fans, but I, as most fans on here, wonder why he is the Captain.
