Tigers Sign Parlour

We are delighted to announce the signing of Ray Parlour. Ray has a wealth of top-class experience at the highest level and has enjoyed an unbelievably successful career with Arsenal, Middlesbrough and England. Despite easier challenges on offer elsewhere he has decided to complete this season with Hull City and help the club retain its Championship status.
There was a lot of rubbish written last week about losing out on players like David Prutton when we had not even talked to the players mentioned.
This deal, like the earlier Danny Mills and Dean Windass deals, shows that when the club seriously wants a player and the player actually wants to come here, Hull City will compete financially with its Championship rivals.
The manager has worked hard to get Ray Parlour to this club and we feel he will be a real asset in the 15 game battle to come.
We hope that this move can re-energise our fight and show our seriousness to escape from the bottom end of the table. We have initiated a campaign with the Hull Daily Mail for the coming weeks to really try and pull the city behind the club during the remainder of the season.
We need your vocal backing home and away more than ever now in order to get the six or seven wins we need and we hope that the signing of Ray will provide the catalyst.

"top-class experience at the highest level".

That's a relief for them.
I'd hate to have someone with "top class experience at the lowest level".

Such as Grant McCann.

Oh aye.
