Hull City manager Phil Brown is planning another bid to sign Italian star Christian Vieri.

The former Inter Milan and Lazio striker considered a shock move to the Championship club this summer before deciding to sign a 12-month contract with Fiorentina.

He has struggled to settle at the Italian club and now Brown is hoping to lure him to the KC Stadium on a short-term deal.

Brown is keen to strengthen his attacking options after missing out on Birmingham's Rowan Vine.

Yep, because if he can't settle in Florence he'll be ok in Hull!

He went with his heritage when he went over to Europe..... but his culture wouldn't make him a martian in Hull. Not having a dig at anytribe here, like.</p>

Phil Brown doing what his mentor, Big Sam, did best perhaps? Bringing aging foreigners to England and getting a few more good years out of them?
