nivver a sending off in a million years,he won the ball ffs.macken outstanding today.hassell what a balls up playing him at left back ,worst of our players today in my opinion.disco devaney dwells on the ball for too long trying to showboat and although the new lad teale made a good cross for our goal,he looks a bit unfit or uncommited.coventry didn`t look any better than us but as in the 1st half as soon as they got there noses in front, started time wasting.</p>
Definatly a booking, and with it being his 2nd, he was certain to go. But the referee's consistency was shocking, did coventry have booking???
Where do you sit? It wasnt far from me - as I am just over the half way line in the West Stand and I thought he got the ball fairly - I didnt even think it was a foul Also what about the elbow in Fosters face that only got a yellow
nailed on booking and therefore a second yellow and off. Eastwood got booked for dissent first half and Morrison for err.... being Morrison.
Im in the middle of thye ponty but it looked like he just took a load of frustration out on the lad, thought he got the ball but after he'd got the mad.
they had about three I think I think that it is barnsley that are dirty, we appear to be slow to the ball a lot which means we give away a lot of fouls and our defenders, lacking a bit in skill have a tendancy to try to tackle from behind which always leaves them open to getting booked. I thought that the only inconsistency from the ref was in not booking their players for time wasting, with regards the actual fouls/bookings for challenges he was consistent, we are just a dirty side.
RE: It was his second yellow. nt no mate it was second yellow I watched for the ref to brandish the yellow first
I didn't pay attention to the elbow If i'm honest, I think I was looking the other way but once the ref see's an elbow/raised hand he has to send him off which is something that really annoys me. The club should publish on the official site the reason that referee's give i ntheir report for booking's as I would love to know what they write down sometimes. He can't write violent conduct so what does he write? Come on rob, see what you can do. And the sending off, looked to me as though he got the player as well as the ball so it's a foul. I'm in the east stand.
I'm with a few others on here who thought he got the ball. He caught the man afterwards, but for me he got the ball, and that was clearly the thought of quite a lot of the players on the pitch. Nothing went Hume's way at all today and he got wound up. Davey's job to see that and substitute him, and he didn't. Hume can't substitute himself. But for me, while the challenge was unnecessary, he did win the ball. And the one shortly after where Foster quite blatantly won the ball and he and Howard both ended up getting booked was remarkable.
Looked a yellow to me Which was what the ref gave His legs were either side of their player, he chopped him. Then again, they did worse and got away with it
