I thought that at the time

When watching it live my first reaction was straight red - the replays confirmed my initial view, was stunned when the ref produced a yellow card.

Brilliantly as the ref "saw" it and penalised it at the time there can be no further action, if the ref hadnt done anything it was a certain 3 match ban.

he was fouling Boulding all game - including one great hand off to Bouldings face that Jonny Wilkinson would have been proud off - which wasnt penalised.

Mind you not as good as the rugby tackle from one of the Southend players near the end.

    - Compare with Nyatangas sending off when he barely touched the bloke

More like.. Prem refs looking after Prem players/clubs

happens every Season in the cups. League clubs not getting the decisions against prem opposition. I rememeber one when we played Leeds atElland road, when they were in the Prem. Ref ran 50 yards to book Brian O'Callaghan for appealing for a throw in. 2 mins later a decision went against Viduka, and he gesticulated like a 2 years old at the ref, and all the ref did was laugh it off.

From the replay he appears to play the ball first, the follow through then gets Boulding, which is probably why the ref give a yellow instead of a red card.
Though it was awful and deserving of a red.

boulding ate huth for the entire game, and arca had a nightmare against hamshaw in scond half. hamshaw would be a championship player if he hadn't have got that injury when at sheff wed.

    The truth about Huth...

The commentator got it right when he said that Huth did not like being made to look poor by a league two player and I think that was it. Truth was that Huth was made to look slow, technically poor and inept by Boulding. Such reputation as he had was shredded by 'Quick Mick' on Saturday. Well done, Mick! Class player!

    that's so right

the thing with Huth was the intent that followed on from getting the ball, you could see it in his face, he could've pulled back from the ferocity of it but didn't. I'm surprised Boulding got up

and Nyatanga's sending off was a joke, the awarding of a pen should have been enough
