Willpower and a vapour thingy (zero nicotine stuff now). Into my 7th month now. No in answer to your question though.
A girl I know did it and she hasn't smoked since, its been over 2 years now. Think it cost her a few hundred quid though. I quit using champix on prescription from docs i'd highly recommend them but they do give you funny lucid dreams, I'm quit about a year and a cpl months now and I occasionally use a nicroette vapour mist spray now if I get cravings but very rare I do. I cant recommend quitting enough though whitey the difference really is massive (money and health) and worth every effort to do it, best of luck.
I am studying clinical hypnotherapy at the moment. Simple answer is yes, however some people do one session and expect that to work. Everybody will have different levels of suggestability so the number of sessions should be tailored personally to each client. Some people click straight away, others need deeper re-inforcement to change habits etc. If the will to actually stop isn't there from the outset though, any method is likely to fail, that always has to be the first point and also looking at any contributing factors as to why the person smokes etc...
http://www.susanhepburn.com My mates mam. Used to have a clinic in Royston. But unfortunatly she now works in that there London. It does work if you really want to stop.
One of r lasses colleagues at work saw one of these hypnotherapists recently, she was smoking Jon Forte a day. She's not smoked since, says the thought of it makes her sick. £80 she paid. Sounds too good to be true, but I reckon me and the missus will have a stab at it. No interest in all these tablets etc, or those great big things folk keep puffing on, the vapour things. Just want to stop, without much effort.
I used willpower and chewing gum about seven years ago. I've had a wobble recently but those e-cigs have been a massive help.
