Depends - If they sort out the postal applications, before or after they went up on sale or process with each mornings post.

It's possible they may only begin to process these on Saturday with whats left then. After that, the remainder can go up for sale Sunday / Monday.

Although, when would postal applications for Centenary members begin to be processed? Would they sit on these until Monday or process along with ST applications.

That was my main concern re: postal apps

that they would be considered last, and possibly when the desired price band had gone. Otherwise I'd have been happy to pay the extra cash and save on the queuing.

I guess the answer is, no-one has a clue what they've done until they get the tickets through

I think they will have 'looked after' those that made postal applications, as they would rather people did this than queue.

As a centenary member I nearly made the mistake of applying by post, good job I phoned the box office up first, they advised, “all postal applications would be dealt with after the categories final day sales”, this would have meant any centenary members applying by post would not have been processed until Monday PM, and after the days stubs sales. Guess yourself how many tickets would be left.

But - If this is the case. Couldn't you take your Centenary ticket down on Monday and queue up for your allocation?

If they haven't processed it, surely you should still be entitled to get yours. You never know, you could end up with 2 sets.

If they were processing at the end of the day, they would have had to pre-process the applications to get the centenary numbers and remove from the 'available to queue list.' Then come back at the end of the day to process the postal applications. That's twice as much work.

One other thought - As each turnstyle isn't linked to any computer system (We are talking BFC here) - Whats to stop you getting your centenary allocation from say turnstyle no 1 and then on your way out give your card to someone queuing for a different turnstyle? That is unless they take your cards off you and post it back. But that would be an added expense.

For those stubbers and general sale people I hope the club have some procedure in place to prevent this happening, but this is BFC. They had a list of members for the Chelsea match, but those tickets were obtained from the box office, will there be a separate queue for cent member? Who knows?

Hardly an incentive to save everyone (the club included) the hassle that goes with queuing nt

How can they do that though?

They asked people to send in cheques or postal orders:

    POSTAL APPLICATIONS
Barnsley Football Club will accept postal applications for this game. Season Ticket Holders must send in cheques (including your card number and expiry date on the rear) or postal orders, including a £5.00 charge for return postage in addition to the cost of your tickets. Season Ticket Vouchers must also be included.
Supporters can pay be credit or debit card but there is an additional £3.00 administration charge. Postal applications will be accepted until Friday March 21, 2008.

They must have put so many tickets of each price band to one side as they can't send all postal applications £25 tickets when the cheque/postal order is for other priced ones as it would mean that someone has a lot of admin work sending cheques out for the unused amount.

If today was the final day for postal applications, how do they know how many of the £55 tickets should have witheld from sale from yesterday to cover this, as I understand only £25 left

    What I meant was

the Club would have had post Mon - Wed before sales started so could have sorted those sales out and then would have been able to put some tickets aside for yesterday's post as there shouldn't be a postal delivery today (Good Friday).

Well, I asked what would happen if there was a price difference ( I sent postal app off)

and I was told that they would contact me should they require more dosh and I could pay the difference over the phone. Don't know what they would do if my cheque was too much.
