    25% of a £28million fee, let's say.

What would you want the club to spend it on?

Invest in the academy? Build a new stand? Tart up the ground a bit? Pile it all into transfers?

Or a combination of the above?

I'd get some more loan players in, up to the max. Can never have enough loan players.

we do NOT have a 25% sell on clause

    15% at the very best.

Smash it all on red in the casino, if it wins we are bob on if it loses well let's pretend we never had a sell on clause.

In other news in thinking of taking up a financial advisor role. Seems a good plan

We get it in fixed sums, so it could 500k every 3 months...

But, if we got it all at once, i'd want us to get Ryan Williams back, Waring on loan with option to sign.

£1.5million spend on players should get you into the top four at the very worst in this division.

It's four or five very good League One players. If we get the right ones, with resale value of their own, that's how we'll really kick on as a club. It's the difference between me thinking: $hit, we're going to do well to stay up and me thinking: League One is there for the taking.

The rest we should spend on our already excellent academy, and giving the stadium a lick of paint - assuming that Patrick Cryne doesn't want some of it back after all he has spent in the last decade or more.

Nobody knows what the sell on clause % is so capitalising not doesn't make it a fact. It doesn't mean its not true either but we don't know, nor are we likely to find out.

Re: we do NOT have a 25% sell on clause

I'd pretty much go with what Baka says. Be good to see some get thrown into a real assault at League One, though still in keeping with our current 'strategy', and then have a bit of a spring clean of the ground - a lick of paint about the place.

In my opinion, it may make sense (if it was to be a lump sum) to sit on some of the money in the hope that we'll be able to use it in the Championship. Should we return, we'll need a great deal of clout to compete. Huddersfield struggle and spend far more than we ever did up there. If we're to be competitive in that league again, a boost in the arm financially may be what's needed.

Think I would be like us to be prudent with it to secure our future. Wouldn't want is to waste it ala Flicker.

The perfect chair for me, old mate, and I'm certain the club could afford it if it received the cash windfall.:D

It doesn't matter how we get it just that we are. We can negotiate transfer deals payable in a similar way.
