Nor do I tend to take pity on their fan base - but for god’s sake who decided it was right for them to be given a lunchtime kick off at Plymouth?

It depicts all that is wrong with football. Not one single consideration given to supporters whatsoever.

We used to get them away on Tuesdays every season, including an abandoned one midgame

    It’s barmy, it really is.

At least the Tuesday games are sort of necessary. There have to be midweek games and Plymouth is a trek to absolutely everyone. Bringing a Saturday game forward to 12:30 really isn’t on though.

The abandoned game was a Saturday 3pm though wasn’t it? 4-1 up and our friend Gavin Ward ended the game without even speaking to the managers?

We only got a point when it was replayed too as I recall.

Shocking timing, but I bet if we were in their position we'd have sold out there today even at that time. I can't see anything on their website about ticket sales.

Great effort and shows the ridiculous kick off time hasn't made the attendance suffer.

How good Bazza would it have been if we had been playing there today in that league position. We are miles behind.

Lots will make a weekend of it. But it really is poor. Another example of Sky and other TV companies. Taking over the leagues. Fans will put up with it, when in utds position. But chalk fekk on it when nowt to play for.

That is the sad reality as where we are .
This stage now is where we were 40 years ago.
Really need an Allan Clarke Norman Hunter like appointment to get some enthusiasm back into the Club and town.
    Everyone as almost given up.

Thing is they've sold out, which you kind of expect and fair play to them. But by selling out Sky get to screen the game with a full away end and probably a good atmosphere. If they boycotted, Sky would have to reference the empty stand and say its been boycotted due to US putting the blame on so early. It would be awkward and might even make a difference. But by selling out, and I'm not blaming the fans because of course they want to see their team on a sunny weekend in a promotion push, but it just let's sky off the hook again.
The demand from fans means that tv companies can basically do whatever they want and it won't make much difference.

Its nearly as bad as our fans having to go all the way down to Plymouth... on Boxing day!.
Remember we had to do that. at Christmas '90.
