he's kept us in the Championship twice and taken us to the FA Cup Semi Final. He has earnt some time to get this season back on track, starting with tonight. Get behind the team, support the club and stop f.cking moaning.

I do not know whether Simon Davey is the right manager for us

I just think that to fire a manager 5 games into a season is folly. If results have not improved by the end of October and the performances are poor then that could be the time to reconsider.

I just hope that some of our more 'enlightened' fans don't start direct their voiceiferous complaints towards PC as if he gets the 'umpty' on and takes his bat and ball home then we would really have a problem.

However, whilst at the game, I will give my full backing to the team, club and ALL of it's employees with no exceptions.

Whether he's the right man or not...

....if there's ONE, solitary lesson we should have learnt from the last ten years, it's that sacking managers short-term is completely counter-productive. The bloke in charge MUST be given time. If that means a season or two of dodging bullets, so be it.

Coming from a bloke that still lives at home at 42 years old

How can we take that seriously ?

Completely agree - in my opinion it would be crazy to get rid of him at this stage. People panic seeing where we are in the league, even though the performances i've seen and reports i've heard haven't been that bad at all.

For me he is trying to improve the team in the right places, and for that I fully back him.

Plus, I saw a bloke kick a dog the other day, which was probably him.

Surely it's not the sacking of the incumbent manager that is the problem, it's the appointing of someone **** to replace them that is.

    Partly right

But some of the managers we've appointed haven't been ****!! One name springs to mind - Gudjon; a more shrewd, thoughtful man you'd struggle to find (Wenger apart, maybe) Not given enough time.

    RE: Partly right

True, but can the same be said about SD? Shrewd, thoughtful... I think not.

I don't know the answer to be honest. I'm very anti-Davey but maybe it is too soon just yet. However, the rot cannot be allowed to continue for much longer.

I am more and more convinced that Davey is not the right man for us.

Saturday was horrible. The players tried hard enough, but created sod all. My reservations are growing all the time.

However, Davey and the team can count on my support tonight, despite my convictions. I hope this evening is a turning point. I feel that if we lose today and on Saturday, though, the inevitable is going to happen.

with respect to the pro Davey people they are nevertheless beging to sounding like the pro Brown supporters and I suppose Both are doing a good job except that Brown
hasn't been in his position for as long as Davey has.
