surely a rethink of our tactics away from home is in order-clearly the current plan isn't working

We played two different styles against QPR,

an interesting short passing game in the 1st half.

Direct game 2nd half , we should be able to mix it up.

If we're creating chances and not finishing them, I suggest we go all out for a new caterer, a new BFC shirt, a whinge at 'stay away fans' and possibly investing in a sandpit to put our heads in for a bit.

"we had a game plan on Saturday and they scored in the first five minutes which put an end to that"

Awesome, was our game plan not to concede in the first 5 minutes and then ride out the next 85 and see what happens?

It appears to me that Dave seems to worry too much about the opposition especially away from home.

Couldn't agree more. Davey knows we are going to loose, the fans know and the players know, so why turn up for away games. Wonder if Bill Shankley had a game plan, football is simple. Oh and listening to Davey this morning on the radio, you get the impression that he has lost hope of bringing the loanees back, but he did say we will bring players in.
