so 5 points, where they coming from fellow Barnsley fans. we need to win 1 and draw two of last 5, lets hope wolves are promoted and i think plymouth will be safe so both not playing for anything, also cov not playing for anything but pride
We should go into each game trying to win and take three points. We should be looking for fifteen... ...we should try to hit each team with the ferocity that makes them think 'chuffing hell! where has this come from?' - we are playing sides that, if we go two goals clear ought not to want it any more. Swansea, Wolves, Cov, Reading etc - I know they're good sides on paper, and they have all put more points on the board than us, but if we ditch the cautious tactics, play our best strikers who are most likely to score (i.e. drop mifsud and play Boggy at CF), play two out and out wingers and let them push on - let's do our defending in their penalty area, let's keep putting the ball into the box and give the front men something to attack in and around the six yard area - let's do it for ninety minutes - let's see what happens. I'd guarantee that we'd score more than one goal per game. Trouble is, more likely than not, Cagey Davey will go with indecisiveness again and do his 'I'm starting three centre forwards', but unfortunately, one will be at left back, one will be a defensive midfielder (is there any other type?) and the third one will be in goal (after all the fans did call for Muller to be dropped). We'll have Odejayi up front as a faux-striker. Hamill will come on with half an hour to go, but Davey will make sure that he hasn't got anyone to cross to. Let's do this simple and stop shooting ourselves in the feet - play our best players in their best positions, keep our players most likely to score goals in and around the opponent's penalty area, and let's start playing like we want to win - not like we're looking to hang on to a draw. We've got five games left - if we win one and draw one, for me, we're safe. So let's make a concerted effort to win every game going for the throat of our opposition, like our very lives depend upon it, let's just see how many we could actually win. We might surprise ourselves. Imagine sixty points...
