You just walk into an Apple Store, pay $400 and take it away with you and they assume you will sign up to an AT&T contract. It is locked to AT &T but it doesnt take too long to get it unlocked and working on Orange. So less than £200 and no monthly contract! (They are £269 + £30 a month contract here) Ive got to say it's better than I thought it would be having read some of the negative comments. Even the lack of 3g doesnt seem to be too much of a problem picking up emails and surfing webpages - it seems Orange have an Edge network in Barnsley. One problem is there isnt a full MMS client for it yet (I ve found one that will send MMS messages but it can't receive yet!)
3G version available in Feb probably at half the price, waiting til then. nothing that I cant do on my Touch and Nokia anyway.
RE: 3G version available in Feb Twice the price more like and you will be waiting longer than February. Rumour is mid-late next year.
My mates got one. Apparently, O2 have sealed a deal on the price or something and no one can sell cheaper than them for 4 years?? Find that hard to believe, like. Anyway, spent chuffing hours last night trying to get the Iphone connected to his BThome wireless network. Couldnt do it for love nor money. Nightmare
you shouldn't have had any issues as its got a standard wireless interface what were you trying to do with it when connected
