Can anyone suggest any innovative ways to help sell our house please. We are wanting to move but no one seems to want to buy at the mo. I have been thinking about different ways to try and get people interested but it is an extremely frustrating process waiting for people to look at our house let alone make an offer. Whilst being realistic about the price we may get for our house I don't want to give it away. I have though about daft ideas like raffles but these appear fraught with difficulty regarding the law etc. I think I'm simply asking if anyone knows anyone that wants to buy a 3 bedroomed detached in Dodworth?
Thoughts and advice appreciated please!
Thanks
Chris
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-19356001.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy&mam_disp=true

first of all, who wants to buy a house in Dodeth secondly, do you not read the news about Britains financial climate
First of all, who wouldn't want to live in Dodworth, best place in tarn and... yes I do read the news about the current financial climate, why do you think I'm picking people's brains for new and innovative ways of selling a house???? Durr!
RE: first of all, who wants to buy a house in Dodeth Oi. I do. Dodeth born and bred. Lived there for 28 1/2 years until March last year until i moved out when i bought my 1st home with the missus just off Racecommon Road. Had to move out of Dodworth to get mesen on the ladder. Would move back in a flash
You could try this A a few years ago, someone very close to me offered a BFC Season Ticket to the whoever completed a deal before the start of the season (it was Spring time then). It was quite an unusual proposition at the time & drew alot of interest, including Local Radio & Press coverage (free advertising). Maybe you need to come up with an unusual incentive (that actually doesn't cost the earth) but grabs peoples imaginations (and the attention of the press).
That's a great idea, thanks - am willing to pay stamp duty but that's a bit boring isn't it? Need to find someone who doesn't have to sell theirs or has a property which is selling at the moment - that's the crux of the matter I think! Thanks again.
RE: You could try this why not swap it for something else......... ill swop u the house for my car...........
What he says. Nicely situated I know the houses. I have been in that house way before you did. Used to go in em as they were being built as lived in the estate behind. Literally a stones throw away from where i lived
LOL - once tried selling my car by offering it free but asking £10k for the Barnsley sticker inside! Someone from Birmingham bought it.
Well Good luck - maybe something like (time of year) Gym membership at Bannatynes (they might be willing to go in it with you - advertising and all that), or maybe free bottle of wine every week for a year - sounds alot but actually not massive in the big scheme of things. Maybe free wine club membership ??
RE: You could try this I will swap you your house for mine, 2 pints of lager, a packet of crisps, a swizzel lolly and a sherbet dip!!! May even throw in some bon bons and a bag of Kola Kubes!!
We were in it from new - got pictures from foundations up! Used to play football for Dodworth mwc and remember it being a farmers field!
Gym membership is a great idea - especially as we're near to... Bannatynes and Brooklands. Would be able to spread cost over the 12 months as well. Do you mind if I use that idea?
Cheers,
Chris
