......in the box just before we scored is the most stonewall penalty NOT to be given since Liddell got upended in the box in the 82nd minute at Old Trafford in the cup tie in 1998!!! You cheating barsteward referee, and you had a perfect view
He made a dramatic show of "no penalty". I bet he was gutted when Cotterill got up and crossed for Davies to score. Gave tehm ****ing everything. Bent, simple as.
To be fair at the time from where I was sat it just looked like a collision - when I watched it back on Sky and looking where the ref was it's fckin unbelievable he didn't give it.
Absolutely mate. I would love to sit down with the ref today and watch the replay of it and, given where he was stood ask him to explain why he didn't give that penalty. We all know it's a tough job but when you see stuff like that there's no wonder they get some abuse. If it's not cheating, it's sheer incompetence. Massive credit to Cotterill for playing on and creating the goal, 'cos otherwise that would have been a shocker
Bizarre, - Cotterill dumped on his arse, claims foul as Murphy watches, then just gets up, turns Murphy and crosses for the goal ! And that 'offside' - watched that back last night, how Done could have been offside when he chased the ball and went past their defender is unreal. Incompetent, just blatantly incompetent officials.
Yep, and of course it equally wouldn't have been given to Birmingham at St. Andrews ......... would it??? Diabolical decision
We were beaten by a better side overall but you have got to think that sometimes games like that might just turn out different if the officials could get the blatantly 'wrong decisions' right for once!
Absolutely, Brum properly saw the game out 2nd half and had us sussed - but we could have gone in at least level at half time had the officials been on it.
