its beyond belief to be fair.

fair enough i dont particularly like davey, but i dont want him fired. theres not many who want him to stay but i am one of them.

im sick and tired of the club firing managers after about a year in charge . . . where are we going to get doing that? what we need is consistancy and a manager that will be here for a few years.

we need to stick with davey until at least the end of the season and then see where we are. we do have some quality players in our team which should hopefully get us out of this position. bringing in a new manager would still mean that he would have to use the players we have now so what is the point in changing?

if someone else was brought in then it would only be a matter of time before everyone started getting on his back. soto be honest the club cant win either way.

you have just stated that the players are good enough

so if they arent performing as a unit and are in a relegation place then that must be the fault of the manager in charge of them. Bringing in a new manager would hopefully unlock the potential that you claim the squad of players have.

Also davey hasn't been in charge for 'about a year' this is his third season as barnsley manager, we have got progressively closer to being relegated in each of the seasons until we have reached the point that we have now where we are languishing in a relegation spot with a manager seemingly unable to do anything about it

How can we stick with him until the end of . . .

....... the season, if it becomes (even more) obvious that we are heading to Pub League 1?

I agree that chopping and changing managers every 12 months or so isn't big or clever, ........ but neither is sticking with somebody who is leading the club into oblivion, just to improve our 'retention of manager' stats

Arent Championship clubs in for a big payout next season?

If true, even more of a reason not to wait until end of season and "see where we are".

i cant see it being given as a lump sum though.

    £15m seems a little OTT

But there will, apparently, be a substantial increase in monies being made available next summer to all Championship clubs.

Imagine how large a squad Davey would have. More foreigners that we have to google cos weve never heard of them. More players to fall out with freeze out. More strikers that cant hit a barn door. More religious players that cant play cos they are starving themselves half to death by day then running round all night with a nose bag on. More players to play out of postion.

    Stroooooooth!!!!

    ?

How can you start a thread like you have and finish it by laughing at a post that clearly has a lot of truth behind the humour. You clearly agree with the last post so how can you say we need to stick with him?

I'm sick of hearing about 'the cup run' ...........

....... and that's just Davey going on about it, never mind anybody else.

A pigs fan asked me this morning what I thought would happen tonight, I said we are *****, can't score and would probably lose and nowt would change while Davey was in charge.

His response - 'really, I thought he was a decent enough manager, after all, HE GOT YOU TO THE FA CUP SEMI FINAL LAST SEASON!'

He's in Casualty at the moment, but I'm sure he will be ok when he comes round

Can't we just sack him even if we win?

It'll be like all my Christmas's have come at once.
