I can't believe what I am saying but..............

I would not go out and buy another central defender,instead,I would give young Atkinson the opportunity to show and prove his worth. My gut tells me this guy is ready,inspite of his years, I'm convinced he will do the job. So come on Ritchie take the plunge with this and other youngsters.

 

I agree Baskerville.

He is a quality young player and the chances are that he will get chances to impress this season. Reid is a bit injury prone and Atkinson will have to step in. I know Togwell can play centre back but move him there and it will disrupt the midfield and the Howard - Togwell partnership which I am hoping will really develop this season.
