They were on sale for long enough to Season Ticket Holders who were allowed an extra ticket. The balance were on sale after to non season ticket holders. How fairer could it have been. Should they to asked the non season tickets to fill in a questionaire to find out how many games they had been to, where they lived, and how many away matches they had been, in fact 'were they proper fans' ?? The ground has a capacity thats been reached. Makes you wonder how many tickets the club will sell if we get to Wembley
Because like Anfield some genuine fans haven't got tickets. They can put measures in to make sure genuine fans get priority before the part-timers for such big games. For a start they should only give ST holders one each. Was said after Liverpool fiasco but they immediately ignored it next big game. Also, they should open when the customer can get there and not just 9 to 5. I've got a ST myself but could only get down on Saturday when it was only open for 3 hours and subject to the raffle ticket fiasco. Surely it can be better organised than that even with the lack of Internet facilities. My guess is that they under-estimated demand once again.

There simply shouldn't have been 2 tickets per season ticket. Should have been 1 per ST for 1 week. Then after that, either let it go to people who could produce 10 home tickets, or simply let the non ST holders fight it out amongsth themselves. A bit blunt, but that would have been much fairer than the current system. I have my ticket, but it has been very badly organised.
Im a season ticket holder and agree should be one ticket each, and then the rest released for general sale. Whether or not they should have done that by 10 ticket stubs, then 5 stubs etc is another thing. One thing shown today, it is far easier to sell ticket stubs through the turnstiles than it is ticket office. This is not directed at the staff, but for large amount of sales this should always be used to release pressure off those staff and make it a smoother transaction.
Just looking on the Chelsea website and they use a loyalty points scheme, as I'm sure a lot of Premiership clubs do. Would this be worth implementing or is it pointless when we only average 50% of our capacity 90% of the time?
Well then if the provision of Stubs will help make it fairer Should the club introduce this for the start of next season. But would away stubs count ?
If we want to be a successful club And we want more games like the Chelsea/Liverpool games in the future then a loyalty points scheme is the way forward. As is introducing a proper on-line ticketing system. If we've no plans of progressing the **** it, leave it as it is.
For me away game stubs should be kept for away game sales (I.e. Anfield occasion). Need to keep them totally seperate. For instance I know someone who prefers to travel away than go to any home games. It worked in the Premiership season so why can't it now?
if they only learn one thing.......... it should be that there is onlt 1 ticket per ST holder. But I'd put money on the next big game being as exactly as it was this time. Bottom line is, the bottom line and provided the club sell out, sadly I don't think they care who they sell to. Hopefully someone responsible will live to regret their decisions, tho unfortunately future reduced attendances because of the upset caused by this will only affect money available for the team. Mr. Rowing, or whoever it was who maintained the 2 tickets per ST fiasco, should go.
One thing for sure is that GS needs to have a review at the end of the season. These decision are made by the General Manager but the consequences for GS and the Club are massive. My dad spoke to GS on Saturday prior to the match and he wished we could get the fans through the gate more often.
1 per season ticket holder and then reward those that have attended regularly rather than rewarding those that are friends with a season ticket holder
It's just excuses basically Generally speaking, folk who haven't got a ticket didn't want to go. Either that, or they are "Billy no mates"....
FAO: the bbs moaners ffs, all these moaners on here amaze me....... always find someting to moan about..... the club did what it thort was best to accomadate all fans, in hindsight it was the wrong policy plus no matter how the club allocated the tickets. som of the fns with ST's would'nt have been able to get tickets AND then we get muppets like rufus, whoever the **** he is, who turn round and turn thier back on the club over a stupid silly little thing like this.... the club neither needs nor wants people like this in my humble opinion.... i realise i may ahve put some people noses out of joint with ny comments, but its a free country and we are all entitled to our opinion!
and of course, having no friends that are season ticket holders means that they should be **** on from a great height. fans of other clubs DO have tickets in the barnsley end against chelsea whilst barnsley fans are missing out. Why? because of a crazy policy
Aw, come on SuperTyke We've got some people on here who say they have been supporting the team for "x" amount of years and they don't know ANYONE with a ST that can help them out. Sorry, but I just don't buy it.... I would have liked a ticket for Liverpool, but I didn't get one. It's no big deal, life goes on.... I went down on Friday morning for my Chelsea ticket - but if there had been a big queue, I would have come away and gone to work (and watched the game on telly). It all depends on how desperate people are....
Re: fans from other clubs................ Only real chance they had of getting tickets is through season ticker holders, so the blame lies with them if that is the case.
I personally didn't even use the voucher for additional ticket because I didn't know a regular supporter who didn't have one.

believe it or not it is possible to be a supporter of barnsley and not be good friends with a season ticket holder
