whether Shephard supports Leeds/Bates or not.

I just care about what he's doing at Barnsley Football Club.

At this moment I wouldn't want anyone else as chairman and I'm sure many other clubs would rather have a board like ours.

Look at the big picture. Where we were when Shephard took over and where we are now. I'm more than happy with our own progress.

If Gordon Shephard believes that the FAs 15 point deduction was unfiar then so be it, he knows more about business than I'm guessing most people on here and therefore will understand more about what went off at Leeds than most of us.

One minute we're thanking Sheps and Cryne for their involvement in signing De Silva, Nyatanga and Macken. Now he's a chuffin Leeds fan.

Why would anyone want to be chairman of a football club?

Not quite, I just think people want an explanation.

Why exactly is he doing it ?

Correct, nobody can take ANYTHING away from what he has done for this football club.

    Thus far.

    sorry

but he doesn't get carte blanche approval, blind following, he has to justify what he does in the name of BFC, he is Chairman not owner.
He's done some very good things for the club, but if this turns out to be true, then he's got this wrong, big time.

RE: Not quite, I just think people want an explanation.

I'm sure he has his reasons.

and knowing him I'm pretty sure we'll get an explanation.

I respect Shephard as a business man as our chairman and generally as a person. I personally respect this decision knowing he's not a fool and will have thought about what he was doing.

I think you need to look at the bigger picture my friend

Nobody is having a go at Shep for his achievements in stabilising the club and moving it forward. He's done an amazing job so far.

However this allegiance to Leeds United in their fight against the Football League is as bad as a decision as the Liverpool ticket fiasco in my eyes.

Why would anyone want to associate their club with a team that tried to did nothing other than cheat its way through a football season? If you just care about Barnsley FC then you would care about how we are portrayed in the media would you not? I don't want to see my clubs name branded about with this ordeal, especially as we are the ONLY team to get a mention!

Bates and the rest of the jesters down at Elland Road deserved more than a 15 point deduction (a deduction Shepherd voted FOR), so why support them now?

Disgrace, and I feel the majority agree on this one.

    Yeah - early doors

To be honest it does not bother me one bit and would much rather be playing them next season than Doncaster Rovers

Not that I'm all that bothered what Leeds do but why do you think they deserve more than a fifteen point deduction?

Bringing a court action against the league.

    This really beggers belief.

The Football League is the governing body for 72 clubs - are we therefore bringing an action against these clubs?

Would people 'not give a ****' if, as a result of this, the other 70 clubs decide to take some form of retribution against our club?

    Allegiance? You serious?

Don't you think it would be a better idea to wait and get the whole story?

There WILL be reasons for this decision and I will criticise if those reasons don't seem reasonable. There is no way that we have the whole story so far.

    Gordon Shephard is not stupid.

    I think we will.

Even if we don't, I won't criticise him based on a small news story that tells us **** all.

    I'll agree to disagree...

    FANS..A necessary evil.

Just be nice to know why we have got involved after seemingly supporting the deduction in the first place and now seemingly joining the court action against the league?
