I have transcribed the first 3 Blunts callers-the first two should have gone to Specsavers-thet third one is just trying desperately hard to divert attention away from the incident itself

Nigel: to be honest with you I thought it was a 50-50 ball and I didn’t think there was anything malicious in Chris Morgan’s challenge at all. I’m not denying the fact that he catches him but you know when it’s a 50-50 ball and both people are rising up –(AG)..............I don’t think he’d have gone in with any intent to hurt anybody and I think and you have to consider his mentality on this as well and how it sets him up for the Reading game.

Mike: I just watched it-they showed it from two angles –from one angle it don’t look good but from behind you can see Morgan is preparing to take off –mechanics of taking off is you put your arms out and jump up to head ball and he’s come in from side and if you see it from behind Morgan’s looking straight ahead and the lad Hume comes down and yes he clashes into his elbow –and good luck to the lad I hope he recovers-and Morgan is looking ahead he’s not looking at this lad so I don’t think there’s much intent –from one angle it looks bad(AG) .....................it’s not nice for anyone to get caught –the shot from behind the goal Morgan’s looking straight at the ball as the lad comes in and hits his elbow and I mean all defenders put their elbows out when they are jumping up

Jed: I’m a Blade –...I’m a little bit annoyed that Morgan’s been hung out to dry at the moment before there’s even been an inquest on this.........nothing’s actually been proven whether it was malicious intent whatever Now the lad lives in Barnsley he’s got a family and at the moment these people are creating a witch hunt here the way that things are carrying on I think we all ought to get a bit of sanity about this Chris Morgan Sheffield Utd as a team are not a dirty team now are Sheff Utd a dirty team yes or no? (AG) ...........what I’m saying here is Andy we just need to be a little bit careful here is that tomorrow his children have got to go to school and what’s happening on the radio tonight is not nice to listen to and that lad has got to live his life and his wife and his family have got to go around in Barnsley where he still lives and the lad doesn’t deserve that regardless of what’s happened to the Barnsley player that he’s in hospital at the moment –you just cannot start a witch hunt on somebody else just for the sake of good publicity on radio and I’m not blaming you but at the end of the day we live in a society where bad news breeds you know gets more listeners than good news does and I’m just saying everybody out there with their comments ought to have a little bit of understanding-rein it in a little bit –don’t be as judgmental as we are at the moment and let’s see what happens in this.

'50-50 ball and both people are rising up'

I thought the same listening to last night Football Heaven

Hume was on the floor by the time Morgan had headed the ball, if Morgan had have been rising up both arms would have been roughly doing the same thing.

That picture wants sending everywhere. Proof, if indeed anyone was still doubting the 'incident', that Morgan fully intented to elbow Hume in the face/head. I'm afraid that picture settles it for me!
