I didnt realise how much Id enjoy Leeds demise

I said for weeks that I wasnt bothered who was relegated as long as it wasnt us. I really dont like Hull and their "new" fans and would have been happy for them to drop into league one. I was even sympathetic to mates that are Leeds fans and consolingly told them that " It will go to the last day - anyone of us could go down" of course I had my fingers crossed behind my back at the time.

After listening to the final seconds of their game in the Oakwell carpark with eager reds fans gathered round my car listening in I jumped out and did a jig. I put it down to us staying up rather than them going down.

So why today when I passed Elland road on the M621 did I laugh out loud even though I was on my own in the van???

Why? Because since they were relegated in 1982 Ive had nothing but crap off Leeds fans. How Big a club they are, all about their tradition, large crowds, best travelling support, best fighters and even their best terrace fashion.

On the many accasions that we soundly beat them I would get "but you only brought a thousand" or " your grounds crap"

Seeing Elland Rd today brought it all back in a split second. Being from West Yorks Im going to seriously milk it for all its worth.

I passed a bloke who had a back pack with Leeds badge on - yes you guessed it, I had a laugh!

 

well, try beating mine.....

I haven't passed bellend road, or seen any leeds badges or supporters (shame though), but I have been constantly pissing myself laughing since 5.30 (or whatever it was) on saturday when it was confirmed they where in fact total *****.

I even went out on sunday afternoon with my tarn shirt on hoping that the normal few leeds fans bob in, only one of them turned in, and not the one who I really wanted to rub it in with
