I didn't realise until this morning we were six points behind fourth at bottom

Our goal difference is so bad, it may as well be 7 points.

We need to win almost every other game now to reach 50 points. Whoever comes in, we need to reconcile to the fact that only a(nother) miracle stops us being relegated now.

Down by Valentines Day :( Defo by Easter.

Might manage a full cricket season for the first time in 6 years on the bright side of things.

I don't think it will take a miracle. Huge improvement, but no miracle.

The bottom six are all averaging less points per game than would get them to 50 points.

I can't see it taking anywhere near the 55 points to survive we had to achieve last season. I've never known owt like that - we ended up only six points from the top half and only 13 from the playoffs. Absolutely bizarre.

I think 50 would do it relatively comfortably this time around. 48 might do. If we can get to 50 points we'd be giving ourselves an excellent chance - and that takes 1.34 ppg from here on. Flicker got something like 1.62 last season. We won't get that again I can't imagine, that was a once in a lifetime thing I'd say for a team that poor to become that consistently strong overnight. That same ratio would get us to 59 and like I say I reckon that could be as much as 10 or 11 more than will be needed. Maybe not but if we are relegated I'd sooner go down having had a good go and at least having given ourselves a chance rather than going out with a whimper on 35 or 40 points.

As long as we beat the teams down there with us, we still have a chance, depending on who we bring in.
