We sign an experienced keeper to strengthen the squad/cover for Steele and folks still complain. No ones happy about our current form but some of the comments on here are beyond belief.I don't post has often has I used to because frankly you can't have reasonable debate any more.Tykes Mad is quite appealing at the moment because people post opinions and don't get slaughtered with personal abuse.

Have you been reading TykesMad the last couple of weeks?
It is just as bad as here.

Why do you think we have signed this keeper and do you think we need him or another creative midfielder?

I would imagine Hill doesn't think the young keeper is ready if called on and I certainly agree we need a creative midfielder.

I suggest that most of the people who have such confidence in the academy keeper have never seen him play. I have only seen him three times myself, but my assessment is that he is not ready for the first team. Every time the first team hits problems you get somebody who has never watched the academy stating that we should give the kids a chance. I have no idea about the logic that assumes that the manager, who sees the players every day knows less than they do about the players in the academy that they have never seen.

I havent seen him but I cant see what good it is doing him sitting on the bench just in case Steele gets injured. He is probably better playing more games for the acadamy. Its not like you can give him 15 mins at the end of a game like you can an outfield player.

i dont think having an experienced back up player is a bad idea at all

Creative midfielder would be nice though - whats happening with Tonge

Seems unfit or disinterested to me, needs a pre season and needs to be fully committed

I've got every confidence in our academy keeper

I'm sure he's well capable of sitting on the bench, which is all he's really being asked to do.

Even if Steele gets injured and he's called up to play, but turns out to be ****, who the hell would notice in our team? He certainly won't be the only one.

Just doesnt make sense. Its not like our midfield is dominating games so he doesnt want to break up a winning team.
