We were miles better than Crewe. With just a little bit of luck we could have had a cricket score

Luck will changes if we continue to play as we did Saturday

I doubt it will happen. I'll be more likely to fall asleep during the match.

I don't care what the weatherman says

When the weatherman says it's raining
You'll never hear me complaining, I'm certain the sun will shine.

I'm off to France after Christmas for a fortnight and the temptation to stay longer is very great at the moment.

If luck is such an overwhelming factor then why bother with a manager at all. Just hang a rabbits' foot in the dug out instead and grow 4 leaf clover in the goal mouth.

"Luck" is not a thing. It's not tangible. It's a made up term used to describe events that are the result of cause and effect.

If basically all that's wrong with us is luck - then why the **** are we bothering with all this pseudo scientific ******?

Using luck to explain bad results is the antithesis of everything that LJ's football science stands for. It's doing my bonce in hearing about luck after every poor result.

    Is this a wind up?

If not - the simple answer is physics. If the ball is not kicked in to the goal past the keeper then it will not result in a goal. If one kicks the ball over or wide of the goal, or straight at the goalkeeper, it will not result in a goal, merely a missed chance. That's **** all to do with luck.

He's never gone bad IMO. He's just given ***** service and no support in the final third. Tactics and the other players are the cause of that. Not luck.

    It's Sam's fault then.

And his timing being out is a bio-mechanical/skill based issue - not luck. (Have I made my point enough times yet?).

    What does that mean.

All I'm doing is getting behind the team. Sorry I'm not towing the witchhunt line

We are playing well were not winning but the tide will turn. You can't play teams of the Park like we are and not start to win. Once we start they'll be no stopping us

    Ffs get behind um

Of course there's such a "thing" as luck. It's all about probability. Let's say Sam Winnall is good enough to get his shot within 5 yards of where he aims (better strikers might get it within 3 yards) and in any game there are just a few shots - then he might miss every time or score a hat trick without being any better or worse. It's just what we call luck. It's the same in most sports. In the end the luck balances out.

You can't judge luck on a few games. Whether we are being unlucky or lucky at the moment , only time will tell.
