But whomever they are, they'll get my backing to the hilt.

However, my only concern is this:

Having watched the team (that we have currently) all the way through last season, pre-season and the beginning of this season, is clear to all that we consistently fail to do the basics. What scares me, is the fact that these are seasoned professionals that are making these mistakes; not young amateurs, just entering the professional ranks. Some of the defending at times is schoolboy stuff. However, on occasion, it does improve and we look good. Why can't we do it consistently? It's silly errors, all the frickin time that are letting us down. Now, whatever manager comes in, will undoubtedly have fresh ideas, tactics etc to take the club forward, however, for me anyway, it's going to be difficult to cut out these silly errors; the onus surely has to be on the player for this, and like I said, for seasoned professionals to be making these mistakes on a regular basis, is not good. What will the new manager do to cut these out? The defence so far overall has been abysmal. Some of the goals we have conceded have been laughable and my only view for a way forward, is to get rid of some of the below par players, and get some fresh faces in. Obviously, with the transfer window closing, we can't do that anymore!

Whoever takes this job on, is going to have, in my opinion, a good squad of players to work with including some fine talent, who, on their day can really tear into this division; JCR, Hammill, Iain Hume et al. However, it's those stupid errors and basic lack of simple football that is gnawing away at me, and if that isn't addressed sooner rather than later, we're going to be in more trouble.

Serious question: Was Davey really that simple, that he couldn't see these glaring, stupid, basic errors, week in, week out? Or was it that he just couldn't get it through to the players; trying to teach old dogs new tricks and all that?

    Anyways, time will tell.

    Come on you Reds!!!
