The same people calling for Collins head are the same people who slaughtered the recruitment .Somewhere in there is a contradiction I feel.

Is it not possible that both have been poor? And that the reason we are in the top quarter of the league despite both being poor is that the league has a lot of poor teams in it?

How is that a contradiction? Poor recruitment doesn’t excuse his poor coaching. We didn’t recruit that well, though as it has turned out we still have a better squad than the vast majority of the rest of the division. The standard of league one has dropped hugely.

And besides, he is part of the poor recruitment. The worst of the lot. He hasn’t improved one single player, and in fact many have regressed - by a lot.

I don’t get it either but I’d be interested to hear the names of some realistic options the haters think could do a better job?

There are probably a dozen and a half currently managing league one clubs below us in the table who would be at the very least as good.

A good half of those in league two.

We don’t need a special, overperforming tactical genious. We need a competent coach who can organise the side and work with players on the training field.

If we sack Neill Collins this summer, which club employs him? Who’d look at our side this season, and think ‘he’s our man’?

Whilst we’re talking about poor recruitment can anyone tell me the point in the signing of Conor Grant?

Absolute waste of time and money, the lad is going to go back to MK Dons in the summer with a grand total of 0 league starts for us. Our midfield has been through the wringer with injuries and suspensions in the last few months but yet the manager doesn’t trust him.

We may aswell have just gone with 6 subs’ since January as he was clearly brought in as a panic to go on to the bench.

A poor team with a poor coach backed up by poor recruitment still have a chance of promotion via the playoffs.

I don't know how some people get through the day.

Yeah nothing said like I don’t rate you one little bit than a midfielder going off and being replaced by one of our wide forwards rather than using an actual midfielder.

I still haven't heard anything from our director of football, doesn't seem to be promoting himself or the club, he should surely show some initiative of some sort

Collins was part of that poor recruitment. Not so difficult to understand surely?

Absolutely barmy signing. The lad couldn’t get game time for MK a league below so signs were never good.

Crikey, hope not. I saw plenty of Wellens on the documentary about Salford and he came across as an arrogant bully. He might be doing well with Orient, but he’s not the kind of person I’d want at the vclub.

Bizarre post Bri, particularly when you’ve been forcing the narrative that the manager has a big say in recruitment for the past couple of seasons.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think Collins has had a big say in the recent signings and he’s having to deal with the cards he’s been given.
