    inconsistent, tackle shy, and daren't head it. shame we couldn't steal david murphy at the time, on a ten year contract.

    It sounded from the commentary like...

    he was decent going forward due to possessing some pace. Was this true?

    I think he has done a decent job since he came into the side. He has got some pace and he has made some tackles.

    He played very well in the first half and was no worse than any one else in the second! i think everybody has forgotten the first half and are just concentrating on what happened after the break. We were completely without a left back in the second half as hassel decided to play as a third central defender and Howard was completely absent for the whole game. McCann is also comming in for unfair criticism as again he had a very good first half - he was trying to control center midfield on his own! Did anybody else notice that he played both halves on the heavier side of the pitch? Howard must not have fancied getting dirty!
