Conducted himself that badly tonight so can't understand the mass hysteria around tonights show.
And anybody that thought Chris's vitriol was a great piece of chest beating wants their ******* head read.
I've never been as embarassed to be a Barnsley fan as I just have listening to it.

What gets me is that he only kept him on so that he made a fool of himself and devalued the whole Barnsley side of the debate. They are normally **** hot at cutting people off.
Yeah they are... Although I think Seth kept him on because he wanted to get it off his chest that he thinks they have attempted to keep neutral.
To be fair they are stuck between a rock and a hard place and it must be difficult when the atmosphere is as stormy as it is.
Somtimes I think we just need to realise that we have fans that are not only moronic but thick as **** as well.

I applaud Chris for wearing his heart in his sleeve. After seeing a sense of total irrationality by Morgan at Oakwell , who are we to deny any Barnsley fan the right to reply in whatever manner they see fit? Ok, he won't win prizes for subtlety but c'mon - all the **** Radio Sheffield have given Barnsley over the years............this was payback time and it was oh so sweet to listen to Bennet squirming and squeeling like a naughty schoolboy. An half decent presenter with a bit of wit and rapport could have made Chris look a numpty but Bennet eventually - and typically - resorted to a 'it's my show and I'll say what I want' sort of attitude. Chris would have usually been cut off after 30 seconds for not 'complying' - but it shows how much we have Radio Dee Dah on the back foot at the moment when they knew to cut him off, would only add more weight to the accusation they don't give Barnsley fans a fair crack of the whip.
Well I'm afraid to say I don't and won't ever agree with anything 'Chris' said.
I'm as p1ssed off as the next person about what has happened to Iain Hume however radio Sheffield haven't done anything but report it and give airtime to fans of all clubs to debate it. Legally they can't have people playing judge and jury.
And to state this is payback for all the years of bad reporting is dis respectful to Iain Hume, Barnsley Football club and the supporters of our football club.

Well he didnt start very well. The first caller was concerned about who'd play at centre half if Morgan recieved a ban and wasn't able to play saturday... He just laughed it off and basically said Chris Morgan would be in the Sheffield United squad come saturday without a doubt. The smug lovely person. What makes him so sure he'll be available for saturdays fixture...lets face it. He shouldn't be !!!!
What would you like him to say? Hume isn't as important to everyone who phones in as it is to us for obvious reasons.
I'm not saying they are perfect and tbh I don't give a **** who they all support. RS is just the best method of getting info from the club on a regular basis (after here of course) so I'll just continue to see past theirinadequacies (sic).
Lets all get behind the club to do the right thing and also wish a speedy recovery to our player.

RE: Well I'm afraid to say Disrespectful? Well that's laughable I must say and taken as a massive insult. You may be able to look at this in a cold, unemotional , objective state of mind but don't knock people like Chris -and myself - who are utterly, peed off with years and years of biased Radio Sheffield coverage, culminating in them refusing to condemn the actions of a player, who for years and years has brought thuggery onto the football pitch. We may not be as calm or indeed as articulate as yourself , but both of us have reached a 'breaking point' with this absolute joke of a local radio sheffield. If any of these presenters were quality journalists they would let the programme be the voice of the callers and just facilitate the calls by asking questions, opinions and drawing in other callers onto the programme to lead the debates -AND NOT getting into heated debates that whatever they think is final without a right to challenge it. Let me ask you this. If Radio Hallam suddenly introduced the same format of a programme on a Saturday and throughout the week, then would you listen to Radio Sheffield or Radio Hallam? I listen to Sheffield because at the minute - despite the weighted favouritsim of the other local clubs - there simply isn't any credible alternative.
Do you not think it's disrepectful to use what has happened To Iain Hume to add fuel to the fire of petty arguments with how Radio Sheffield have conducted themselves over the years?
I certainly do and would think that the majority of fans will feel the same way.
Look you have your agenda and I have mine. Mine is to support Iain Hume and the club in these trying times.
I really couldn't give a **** about Radio Sheffield.

It's also polarising on tribal lines. and the ingrained hatreds now seem to be more important than the actual facts of the matter.
RE: What would you like him to say? If it's the caller I'm thinking about he was moaning about how all this was going to affect Sheff U. The presenter should have cut in, '...it's going to affect Barnsley more. They've lost their player, you haven't!'
RE: Do you not think it's disrepectful to use what has happened You can 'support Iain Hume and the club' - and also fair play and justice into the bargain - by ensuring that a certain section of the local media don't try and quickly brush this nasty incident under the carpet, for fear of recriminations against Morgan/Sheff U. If it suddenly goes away from the spotlight and as a result Morgan gets off scot free, it won't take long for that nasty piece of work to be up to his usual antics again - and the consequences may be far grimmer next time. For someone who 'doesn't give a **** about Radio Sheffield' you certainly seem to have a lot to say about them.
I think you are getting sidetracked... Try and keep up.
Do you think that this will not be investigated a long time after radio sheffield have gone onto Who should replace Dave Allen and Sean O'Driscoll?
I am neither sticking up for RS or slagging them off cos they aren't important in the grand scheme of things and that is and was the point of my post. The main subject matter was the fact that Chris embarassed the club and its fans. Simple as that.

Yeah its going to spoil Sheff Utds chances and Chris Morgan - never mind us for daring to care about our own player!
RE: It's hard keeping up... with such a sharp minded individual but please keep patronising me and I'll do my best. As for Chris 'embarrassing the fans and the club' then how the hell do you know that?? It would be equally arrogant for me to say the club and the fans will be proud of Chris's call - which is exactly why I wouldn't make such a sweeping and smug statement.
Well I thought that it was embarrasing and re-inforced the stereotypical view of Barnsley. To me it also bordered on threatening which is ironic in that it's defending a violent act with threatened violence.
How do I know that? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that threatening violence on a radio station is not what the law abiding fans at Oakwell would want to happen to a bunch of hacks.
If it wasn't such a serious subject I'd think it was funny.
I'm not trying to patronise you I just don't understand how anybody can even consider Chris's phonecall to be either helpful or constructive. And just because Radio Sheffield have given us bad press in the past doesn't give it justification either.
But you keep up the vigil.
Power to the people and all that.
