FORMER Barnsley striker Neil Shipperley has returned to South Yorkshire after a four-year exile with Wimbledon and Crystal Palace by signing for Sheffield United.

Shipperley, who quit the Reds to move back down south in 2001, has penned a two year deal with the Championship side.

That was his morngie wife who wanted to live in London wasn't it? Whats up love? China Whites barred you for being too much of a dimwitted day-glo sulky footballers wife cliche? Got tired of waiting for Neil to get back from his dogging trips with Stan 'The Man' Collymore?
    He was crap anyway.

Another one living on past glories. Hope Warnock continues to waste money on these types. He did the same with Wardy

About the time when he tells the truth to the shareholders in BFC 1887 vintage.

    Nah

Shipperley helped get Palace promoted. Played all the games, and scored 7 goals in that great run they had after Christmas. Got injured in the summer and was never given the chance in the prem. That's the only serious injury he's ever had in his career. He's only 30 and he's just had a years rest. Got over 100 league goals, all in the top 2 divisions. Great signing for any club wanting to get promotion from the championship.
