yesterday i watched "Argo" and i thought it was a top film.

I know when Americans make films about Americans they are generally ott but this was high tension viewing from start to finish.

If anyone hasnt seen it i suggest you give it a watch.

    Agreed.

I also saw Django unchained. Really good although about 20 mins from the end it got a little silly IMO

Apparently though, as usual it's not very historically correct, according to what I've read it shows Americans being turned away by British Embassy staff..this was not the case...very sad that Hollywood still prefers to spout b******s

Apparently what happened was they went to the British embassy and they took them in but then sent them to the Canadian embassy because it would be safer. I guess that doesn't have sufficient dramatic effect though.

I think there's more than a few liberties taken, I read that at the airport they actually just walked through completely without incident. Would have been a bit of an anticlimax.

    Good film though.

Well, it's primarily a film for entertainment, not meant to be a documentary. I think it does say "based on a true story" which always means things may be changed for dramatic effect.

We watched a film documentary last night (think it was shown on Friday of Saturday but we recorded it) called "Project Nim" about a Chimpanzee that was brought up with humans and taught sign language, amazing film.

watched Argo last week, after we watched it we had recorded a documentary about the actual story.

There were a few things,as always in hollywood but still a very good movie.

Zero dark thirty and django are next,we can watch them on demand here in the USA cant you in UK at the moment.
