Out with my camera on a photography workshop. Didnt even check the score is how low my interest has waned this season. (Although when i got a ping on my watch of @Micky Finn’s post about chalking **** I had a fair idea how it was going)
We are having a halloween party tonight so spent the day preparing for that, I’d absolutely no interest in the score.
I watched the cricket but kept checking the score. Felt very little when we conceded it was inevitable.
I would like to say a big thank you to those who do give full support to the team - the ones who sacrificed a day of their lives to go and watch us.
Long walk, meal in Rockingham Arms with family. Only checked score now. Recorded cricket, but know the result so that's this evening sorted. All so predictable Schopp out. Autumn in Barnsley is extremely beautiful. What a place we live in
These fans who now do what I only ever did for a couple of seasons are magnificent. Imagine if all Barnsley fans posted on here about what they did at 3pm, instead of even being bothered about their team's result. It's often like there's a competition to see who can't give the biggest toss about BFC. We're all annoyed to the max, but really....
Me too been out since 10 this morning. Didn’t give game a second thought or check score until I got in saw young un watching Man Utd game and remembered we had a game. saw we had lost, wasn’t surprised or even disappointed
I refer the Right Honourable Gentleman to the answer I gave earlier. https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/s...ck-because-of-the-“performance”.309172/page-2
This thread smacks of Catherine Tates, “Lauren”. We are all bothered, but sometimes the defence is to pretend we’re not….
I was at Penistone Church watching them beat the NCEL League leaders 4-1. Never gave a thought to Tarn until I got back to my car and checked the score. Reacted with resigned acceptance, couldn't even bring myself to be disappointed. This after 60+ years support.
7 mile walk from home to Worsbrough Res, pleasant stop in the mill café for a coffee and a sticky calorie bomb. Different route back, missed almost the entire match. Love the players, I honestly believe they're trying their best (if I may say that without having watched???) but the rest? Total disconnection. Frightening how it just doesn't hurt any more. The passion has been frozen out of me.
Long lie in, lunch, set off in a walk at 3pm. Several miles later, landed in a real ale boozer in Chapeltown. Saw score, had a couple of drinks, ordered a take away, bus home. Nice day tbh. Quite enjoying weekends like this. The club needs to see that people can live without a club that doesn’t reciprocate their support. 0 chance of me renewing next season if things remain like this.
