Positive attitude mate!

Ritchie isn't daft enuff to accept the poisoned Washday chalice...

Why isn't he?

After all, as I am often being told, they are 'massive'!
What a challenge!, £32M in debt buy at least Allen will give him money to spend on the few players he thinks he needs to make a successful team.
Expect Hayes, Richards, Devaney, McIndoe to follow him and possibly Kay.
Ritchie likes to play with his wingers

Tina do you think he will go?

Because look what's happened to every other manager who's joined 'em since they poached Wilson...

With the exception of Paul Jewell...

I don't like to get into the mindset of self-fulfilling prophecies Tina - gotta stay positive about it...

The Washday job IS a poisoned chalice - I think AR's got the nouse to see that...

maybe they'll pay him 3 times as much as us

if he's motivated by money, then he'll go

amd he might get a 2 year contract

not much job security in footy management is there and he's gotta pay the bills

I can see it and so can everyone else on here.....

The trouble is, all Managers would most likely see it as a 'step up'
Despite all their problems, they still portray themselves as a 'massive club'
With a winning team playing the sort of football Holden and Ritchie play, the crowds would come flocking back and 27,000 plus crowds would be back.
Heartbreaking innit?

Plus, who will he come back in for?

Devaney, McIndoe, Togwell and I think Kay!

Come on Tina - he might leave, but not for Wednesday!

I really don't believe he'd go to Wednesday, they are in the **** and no return. I fear he would leave us for another club in the Championship, but I think he knows that he can do better than Wednesday. The move has to be worth the effort of the change involved.

Cheer thi' sen up.

pull yourselves together - he's not going anywhere!

And neither are any of our failing squad either. It's not like we've got the bloody crown jewels is it?

It is, and you make a very valid point, but I'm just trying to avoid getting down about it...

I don't even want to contemplate the possibility.

The positive side though is that AR is still under contract and Washday will want somebody sooner, rather than later.

Hopefully they'll be daunted by the possibility of protracted contract talks and take their tainted money elsewhere...

That's what I keep convincing myself !

But, no matter how much I do convince myself, they are still seen as a 'massive club' with 'msssive support'
Allen is desperate to make a last ditch success of the Club he supports after a succession of Managers have failed
Who would have thought that Sturrock would have failed at the 'big club'?
Let's face it, after his previous success with Plymouth, we would have given our eye teeth for him before they stepped in and nabbed him!
We never thought Wilson would leave did we?, when we were all queuing up from 2am round the car park for our season tickets.
We will never be able to compete with Sheffield Wednesday in terms of status and just general "Look at Sheffield Wednesday" on 'Sky Sports' etc. in that respect Young Nudger is correct
I hope it will sort itself out but I am not hopefull
