Most of them would have gone expecting our manager to take it seriously and play the best side possible. Ya know like keeping a settled team, giving the team one more game together and possibly making more money with a cup run. Instead those who went saw a much changed team and one that did excellent under the circumstances. Well done to the players, you did us proud.
off we go ............moan moan moan we play wba saturday , far more important , anybody eho thought we would play a full strenghth team talk to gaz/gary , hes gay so he will calm you down !!!!!!
no but you expect davey to stick kim on wy mossto for the last 20 mins to see if theres a possible partnership there, too negative in my eyes!
We played well and did well. I have no grumbles whatsoever. Davey put out the best team he could under the circumstances and with one eye on that gae against a prolific West Brom I back him all the way in his choices tonight and I thought we did well YooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooREDS!
The fan I've spoken too seemed pretty happy a decent performance on the pitch with a superb backing off the pitch.
come on pal, common sense dictates that change, my opinion and im entitled to it so wind thy neck in eh!
Im with you on this Tina. In Davey's position, maybe i'd have done the same. Make sure we have our best players fit for the main game on Saturday. We were never going to win today, even with a full strength side. Davey knew that, and made plans accordingly. Plus he got to see some of our fringe players in the side. Players he wouldn't normally gamble with in a match he fancies us to win.
i dunt blame davey when it was 0-0 but at 1-0 darn and kim on the bench surely it would be in mr daveys interests to see if they can laik together, does that not mek sense to you?
Great to hear. Having a weakened team out there give a strong Newcastle side a bit of a run for their money. Albeit a touch backs-to-the-wall but we weren't disgraced by any stretch of the imagination. I think we can be proud of our lads tonight.
Exactly NP - It's obvious isn't it? Davey will have learned so much more about his players tonight.
Another chance for the team to gel and move forward.
I would suspect that all on here would take a point against West Brom on Sat instead of a win here.
We were never gonna win this game - not under Allardyce, mebbee under Roeder or when Newcastle were in terminal decline, but not tonight.
I support Davey and his choices tonight and they put up an excellent fight.

I believe it's called having a squad. With Howard injured it was the perfect chance for Togwell and McCann to stake a claim and also to allow Davey to try again with more 4 at the back. Again we've tried a new system and it seems if we're looking to keep the other side out the it will work.
