With the likes of Middlesbrough and Newcastle in the mix now, its going to be a long hard season!

Well said. Other clubs are strengthening and we are continuing at selling our better players for peanuts. Pikeys want 2 million for Brian Stock of all people. You can get Howard, De Silva and Muller for that and still have plenty of change.

    Can you?

Last time I checked there was no confirmed figure for De Silva, just rumoured figures.

And for the past few years we've gone about our transfer business very quietly. We don't confirm signings until they've put pen to paper and posed in a BFC shirt. Just because there's been nothing announced doesn't mean we're not in advanced talks with some quality players.

Oh and it's June 14th... pre season hasn't even started yet.

Why? Just because they're supposed big clubs who have been relegated doesn't mean they'll do well.

His agent went to the media first.

But our policy was we didnt comment on transfers until they were completed - yet we went to the media, Davey spoke about it on our website.

Just saying its not always done quietly.

in that situation Davey was forced to respond as Wards agent had A banied his name around to every club within 50 miles and B already told the local rags the ins and outs of the deal.

True. I'm not known for jumping to Davey's defence but in the Ward case he had no option than to break his own transfer protocol due to the terrible way his agent dealt with the transfer.

Im not having ago or anything but i thought the policy was that we didnt talk about transfers until they are sorted, whats the point in a policy if you break it? regardless surely we should have just declined to comment, all it was done for was to say well we tried but he wanted more money or to play for a bigger club. Us commenting basically forced other involved parties to ensure they got the deal sorted.
