Can't believe that we've got beaten by Blackpool at home when we absolutely ABSOLUTELY needed three points today.

There can be no excuses for that today. I don't give a **** if we were tremendous for ninety minutes and the most unlucky side in the history of football (not that it sounded like we were) - today was about getting the team focused, getting on the front foot and attacking like we were two-nil down from the kick off. We wanted to win three-nil today. I thought I felt bad after the Charlton game at home, but this takes the piss.

I can't see where we'll get another fecking point if we can't get anything from Blackpool at home.

A draw would have been OK

Sorry, but it was never a MUST WIN game.

    You tell me that...

If we get relegated by three points and Blackpool are the next team above us.

You can't afford not to win your home games against the sides that are around you.

I'll accept that we need to be philosophical about not beating Birmingham at home (don't get me wrong, I'm not a looney) - but Blackpool are not a good side and we ought to be taking three points. The idea is that we get safe as soon as possible. For me that's a must win game.

    Actually...

I'd argue that we've got a decent first XI, and a couple of decent subs too - it's just that we've got a 'manager' who gets us to punch consistently below our weight by making up random formations, playing good players comically out of position, and generally hasn't got the courage to keep it simple and play to win. That's the like it or not part.

Well, the gap is SIX points now, not three

I can only repeat that a DRAW would not have been disastrous (and would have kept us out of the bottom three today).

As it happens, we LOST - and that makes me angry.

Agree entirely with that post. I've said all along that we have a good squad and it's the managers fault that they are not performing

RE: Well, the gap is SIX points now, not three

don't get me wrong - I'd take a point now, and I'd be much happier than I am now - but at the start of the game I had this written down for three points, and having done the predictor I was relying of three points at home today because I don't know where the points are going to come from otherwise. We just can't afford to let three points at home slip like that.
