Only going with one striker up front at home to a team in the Division below us in the FA Cup. Offering no support whatsoever to that lone striker, so when he does have the ball, his nearest team mate is thirty yards away. Weaken the defence by moving our best centre half over to right back and continually playing a left back who seems to disappear into Oakwell's version of the Bermuda Triangle every time an attack comes down his side. Playing 'triers' & 'battlers' who it appears are incapable of passing the ball forward, or even to a fellow Barnsley player. Still, apparently, these are the sort of players we need to get us out of trouble! Nothing positive can be taken from today's performance. Nothing. Only one team looked likely to win the game and they deservedly did so. Red wine awaits me. Thank goodness.
HEY HEY..stand back everyone, got this covered..do not alarm him..now big fella(grin) now sit calm and try listen to me... I am here to help you. Look into my eyes, look into my eyes... not around the eyes ..but into the eyes....
Re: HEY HEY..stand back everyone, got this covered..do not alarm him..now big fella(g Sorry Baz, humour won't work tonight. Had Coventry not given us undeserved respect for the first hour, they could've humiliated even more than they did. Once the penny dropped with them, we were never in the game. We really were that bad.
Kev it's a football game, we are crap and look like we are going down. You and I have seen far worse over the years. We'll come back up if we go down and then we'll go down again. It's not worth worrying about, the present players will be long gone soon and you and I will still be there. More to life than football, deep down you know that better than most on here. Have a good evening.
Now look here JLWBLil. Think of all the good things you've got (that's a line from a song I can't remember). Don't get pissed and start posting things you'll have to say sorry for tomorrow!! Errrrr....yep get pissed and then say sorry later!!
Hopefully, I won't say anything I'll regret later. But, if it's okay with you mate, I'm going to follow your advice with regards to the other point!
this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here.... errrm sooo now big Fella... would you hop up on to my crutch...... ermm no no noo... make that Couch... YES couch.... HEHEHEHE (LOOKS FURTIVE)
Re: this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here I know everyone's hurting as much as me, mate.
Re: this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here Actually, I'm not. I've shrugged it off. Got in, saw my tea on the table, and listened to the great day my kids have had, and just shrugged it off. I'm starting to not care.
Re: this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here It was good to see you today, mate. The ONLY bright spot this afternoon for me.
Re: this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here I agree, even though I've not got any kids
If that means you'll need to say sorry in the morning, then I, on behalf of all other posters, accept your apology tonight. That's a green light if ever you needed one.
Re: this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here Thanks, yes good to see you and Mr66 Guess what? I went back in the club shop after the game to buy a Birthday pressie for my daughter. Picked something, then had second thoughts. Why does she want something from the BFC shop, when she's losing interest in coming to games. Why would I waste any more money today?
Re: this may be harder than I thought , people...May have to use my Boyish charm here The things you're prepared to do for your children!
