    Change the record SD
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure we have the right players that can score - no one else's responsibility !!!

So please dont say after a match "we should have got something from that match" "we should have taken our chances" etc etc etc

SD, you have been saying that all season
I'm sick and tired of being near or in the bottom 3

    SORT IT OUT FFS !!!

And remember, this post is from someone who has supported SD since he was appointed.

    In fairness

The majority of profesional footballers should have put Foster's and Macken's chances away - they were absolute sitters.

My biggest criticism was his tactics, had we played with two natural wide men we would have stood a much better chance.

The chances we had should have been taken. As t.t said, playing a striker on the right wing, a winger in central midfield and Macken up front on his own for most of the game was suicide.

We are way too cautious when playing away,if we played our natural game away dont think we would have the abysmal record that we have.

    ..............'too cautious when playing away'

thats the tactic...........cautious, defend deep and defend well and then hit them on the break

Except we haven't anything in the locker to hit them on the break with

Every out field player should be able to score goals.......we have one, Maken, or maybe two JCR and Maken

    Its not good enough.

Wasn't at the match as im out of the country but after reading the match report it seems to be the same old **** as every other away game. Not suprised in the slightest, home form will have to keep us up again.

The problem with our away form is Davey's tactics. Yesterday was a nailed on opportunity to bag 3 precious points and we chucked it.

We were playing against a team that is bottom of the league, that has only won once since September, and whilst we were in the middle of a bit of a good patch. Why the hell should we be cautious and worry about them. We should have been 4-4-2 from the start and they should have been worried about us.

Until Davey stops this habit of thinking we are playing Real Madrid every game and not letting the quality we do have have its chance to come through them we will never be a good side on the road. And that thinking will stop us from progressing.

Generally I am behind Davey - I think that his ability to spot a player is as good as we have had. However, it is because of regular tactical foul ups like yesterday that people will not warm to him.

Let's just go for it away from home, play to OUR strengths not theirs, and see what happens - the overall percentage chance of success or failure cannot be worse than it is now.

But Davey is right its the players responsibility to hit the back of the net. He can't win, he has changed the team around but
most fans don't like the system because its not pretty football, if Macken had scored it would have been a different outcome.
As for signing the right players we have Cureton a player that most of us wanted but who know how he's going to do, but its
upto Cureton to produce the goods!
There's being a overload of negatives after one game against a team that have spent a fortune on players.

to be fair did have a go at 4-3-3 or something similar at Preston. Problems seemed to stem from us not being able to hit a barn door and them being left with an extra midfielder to stretch us. Good end to end game though but usual outcome unfortunately.

Agreed. I liked what I saw from Cureton yesterday. He looked quite sharp and can find a yard in the penalty area. I think he will get the goals for us. He cant be any worse than Oddjob can he?

I think its time for Davey to change his forward line and get rid of all but Macken and Hume. Lets find a target man thats going to put pressure on
Maken, and if we keep Cureton someone to fight for a place with him. Unfortunatly we may have to wait until the summer before he get shut of players.

Yes Mackens a real diamond. The amount of work he gets through and his ability to hold the ball up while waiting for the cavalry to arrive have to be admired.

Yep, time for Simon Daveys to off load a bucket full of strikers.......thats if...

..........someone like Histon want Odejayi and Mostto and the guy from Scarboro, Coulson

If not we are stuck with um

But what ever the outcome we need to bring a couple of strikers in that can do the business
If not we will AGAIN be bouncing along the bottom of the table hoping when the final whistle goes on the final day that we arn't in the bottom three
